Our Visit to MGM Grand January 2012

Living in Vegas we often take for granted the wonderful things the city has to offer. Today we visit the MGM Grand located on Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana.

One of the most beautifully fragrant Hotel & Casinos, the MGM Grand offers numerous attractions for all ages. I have been to this casinos several times and I always find something new. The Studio Walk is neat, especially if you love TV.  While traveling down the star studded path, you will find the CSI Expericence, a TV show viewing room, novelty shops and a free photo booth ( the photo is emailed to you).

I really liked the photo booth, but it was difficult to type in our information on the touch screen. Lucky there wasn’t anyone waiting to use it. You can find the photo booth at the end of the Studio Walk across from the TV show viewing room.

What is the TV Show Viewing room? Well, apparently they show sitcoms that have been released or ones that have never been seen (Ooh). You watch it, then fill out a survey telling them whether you liked it or not.  I believe it about a half hour long. Next time I will try it, but if there is anyone out there willing to share their experience I’m all ears.

Lions, oh My!

The lion habitat is one of the most exciting features the MGM has to offer (unless they’re sleeping). If you have a chance to see the lions do it soon, I believe they are closing the area for renovations in February. UPDATE: They closed the lion habitat permanently January 31, 2012.

Fun Fact: The MGM was inspired by the Wizard of Oz!

Dinner at 5:30

We had quite the selection at the MGM and it all looked so good. My favorite named resturant was the “WichCraft” a sandwich shop. The name really caught our attention, but we decided to eat a Diego because I was craving some Cheviches. Diego Mexican Cuisine offers several different types of Cheviches and traditional Mexican foods complemented with beautiful presentations and wonderful service.  Dinner hours Sunday-Friday, 5:30 – 10:00pm and Saturday 5:00pm – 10:00pm.

Neat machine to spend money on:

Automated horse racing.
